Group Character:

Trinity}{Matrix

          For our group, our topic is about science fiction, so we choose The Matrix as our purism. It is a series of three science fiction movies, which is talking about a dystopian future. In that future, people get to know that there is actually no human being, and what we feel now is just a simulated reality that comes from the Matrix. The Matrix is actually just a system that we live in. It is everywhere, no matter what we see and feel. Human beings are born in bondages and our bodies' heat and electrical activity are used as an energy source. In fact, the Matrix is a prison that keeps us from the truth. For those who are freed, we are enemies, and because of that we are still part of the system. Everything we see is not real, which means we are living in a dream world.

            So the character we choose from the movie is the really strong and smart woman, Trinity. She is the first person we see in the movie, and during that time, she already knows all the truth, and that’s why we had no idea who she was before. But from the movie, I know that she was really intelligent, and she cracked a really important database that brought her into trouble. But because of this, Morpheus found her and helped lead her to the truth. So all we can tell is that she was a normal person before who was really talented, strong, and thoughtful. But now Trinity is a computer programmer or we can say a hacker who has escaped from the Matrix and becomes one of the most important assistances for Morpheus to against the enemies. She is really calmed, smart and skilled with everything. For example, computer programs, martial arts, operating vehicles, firearms, weapons, and fights. Although you can learn things from the computer as a system downloaded, but some of these are coming from with her from before, and she is still one of the most skilled people in the movie. She can fight with lots of men even without weapons. Her willpower is really strong, and all she wants is to help save their city – Zion, and to free people from the Matrix. After Neo appears, she becomes more important. Neo is the one who can save the world, but Trinity is the one who help him through all the difficulties. She is willing to sacrifice everything, even her life for Neo. And that’s becomes her second character in the movie – Neo’s lover.

            No matter you in or out of the Matrix, she still looks the same, except clothes. Outside of the Matrix, she always wears a grey loose sweater and a simple paints with boots, which makes her look really nature. But in the Matrix, she becomes my dream! She wears whole black patent leather jacket and paints from top to bottom, even the boots. And she always has a pair of black sunglass on, too. Since the clothes is kind of tight, we can see that she has a really great body shape with muscles, which makes her look stronger. Sometime she puts on a really long black leather coat outside, which makes her more like a queen of the world, especially the short and clean hair that help to show her whole face and make her face looks more silhouetted. Although there are no signs for them in the movie, but I think everyone can recognize her because when you see a woman wears whole black leather from top to bottom with black sunglasses, and a really clean hair, there is no doubt that is Trinity. Because no any other woman can give you the feelings of powerful, strong, calm, and fearless in one time. Maybe that’s why even the one falls love with her.
